The Nature Bus School
Growing Minds – One Outdoor Adventure at a Time
The Nature Bus School is a small, nature-based educational program serving just 16 children in Pre-K through 1st Grade in the Charlottesville, Virginia area. Designed to grow with families, we add one grade level each year, allowing children to remain in a consistent, nurturing learning environment.
At our school, learning happens where life happens – outside and throughout the community. Lessons come alive through real exploration, guided inquiry, and hands-on experiences that connect core academics with the world around them.
This is a school for families who believe childhood should be rich, meaningful, and memorable.

Private Customizable Group Tours
Do you have a group? (ie: birthday, anniversary, graduation, bachelor/ette celebration, book club, garden club, company or conference outing, or others?) Any group you may have – we’ll work with you to customize the nature outing of your DREAMS!
Nature tours for up to 16 people on our renowned eco tour bus! Nobody connects you to nature like we do! Tours are available as half day, full day, and two day tours. Occasional Public Tours
While our business model is primarily when groups contact us for a customizable private nature tour, once in a while we may create a public tour and sell tickets for each of the 16 seats. When we do this, the seats fill up fast, usually the day it goes on sale. These are very affordable tour tickets! How will you know when we make this special offer?
